De
spreke og tøffe
møttes til slakting av
påske-killingene, - flest jenter! 25 både små og store
geitekillinger, - ikke lam - mest gutter, ble slaktet.
Slaktningen var utsatt til fredag, og ble en opplevelse for
mange, bl.a. Aftenpostens utsendte medarbeidere.
Hvis alt går etter planen vil Skiathos og Skopelos komme
i avisen 2. mai!
Så var det besøk i Prodromo klosteret
hvor Epitafiåssen sto klar.
Noen gikk så til det nedlagte klostert Agii Taxiarches. Vakkert vær og nydelig utsikt.

The
well fit and rough ones
met to see the slaughtering of the
Easter-kids!
We were more girls than men!
It was postponed to Friday, and became a very special experience
for many.
25 both small and big kids - not lambs
- was slaughtered.
Then a visit at Prodromo Monastery where
the Epitafios was ready.
After that some of us walked to the abandon monastery of Agii
Taxiarches.

i SOLEN!
Helt nydelig. Spiros
Englezos hadde vært tidlig oppe og mens de fleste i byen
gikk til kirke på langfredag, stekte Spiros kyllinger til
oss. Han hadde fått mange rare blikk, på årets helligste
dag, mens en lifelig duft av grillet kylling lurte seg ut av
hans kjøkken.
Skal love deg at kyllingen smakte aldeles fortreffelig
sammen med Tzatziki, Farma-salata og en grønn salat, av bl.a.
tomat, agurk, vårløk, som vi vasket i klosterets kilde. Vi
drakk RETSINA og/eller vann og hvis du ser på bildet over
her, var det knapt noen som hadde tid til å se opp.
Epitafiåssen
på kvelden var meget
spesiell. De nye speiderene spilte trommer og hva vi hørte
først på Paralian var dem, meget dramatisk, og så kom den
første, av fem tror jeg, posisjoner.
Det er alltid vakkert og stemningsfullt,
enten man er religiøs eller ikke!
Alle går med tente lys og Epitafiåssen,
er hovedtemaet.

in the SUN!
Just perfect. Spiros
Englezos had been early up and while most people went
to church, on this most holy day of the year, Spiros grilled
chickens for us, while a very tempting smell left his
kitchen.
I promise you that the chickens tasted just beautiful,
together with Tzatziki, Farma-salata and a green salad with tomato,
cucumber, spring onions, all cleaned at one of the springs
by the monastery. If you look at my photo there was
hardly anybody who looked up to be photographed, they were
just eating.
The Ephitafios
in the evening was
very special. The new scouts played drums and what we heard
first at the Paralia was them, very dramatic, and then the
first of five, I think, processions came. It is always so
beautiful and a fantastic atmosphere, weather you are
religious or not!
All walks with lit candles and the Ephitafios
is the center-point.
