"We spend January 1st walking through our lives, room by room,
drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched.
Maybe this year, to balance the list,
we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives...
not looking for flaws, but for potential."

Ellen Goodman

Kanskje dette året, for å ballαnsere listen,

A new year
a new beginning ...

A homepage must always renew itself, - I was once told by my "guru" Sayyid, so new this year is
more blue! Surprised?
The whole of December had very little blue, good for a change but even better to get
the blue back!
Just as when I was on holiday, it was lovely to see new places, but even better to get home!

As usuall the English is on this side, but in dark blue, no more green!
Dark blue is more conservative maybe,
but you know I love the blue, so I hope you like it too?

I be happy if you tell me your oppinion!

We were at the pharmacy,
mum sat down and waited next to a
nice
old guy. She is very concerned
about who could be older than her,
and many times she looks younger.
The old man wondered how old mum was? 80, I answered, and how old are you? Tja, only 78, getting older and weaker year by year, but nothing to be afraid of; where he is going one beautiful day it is much better!
When he left he stroke mums cheek!

Was that kamaki?

I am so sad that I forgot
to photograph them!

Kaldeste i Hellas
ble målt 26/1-1963 i Kavala,
nord øst for oss; - 23.6C.

A new day, a new year -
we are the lucky ones!
Much blue today and memories, that's why I have to mention Giorgos Sarris, another very good friend, the first to call me Skopelìtissa. This cite is dedicated to his memory. He left us in 1995 only 35 years old, - but he will never be forgotten. Todays vidaki is dedicated to him and all he gave us as some of the first Norwegian tourists on Skiathos
from 1980 and onward!

The coldest in Greece
was measured 26/1-1963 in Kavala,
north-east of us; -23.6C.

"There comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won't anymore...
And who always will.
So, don't worry
about people from your past,
there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
Give these flowers to everyone you don't want to lose in 2009,
Including me, if that's what is in your heart.
Try to collect 12; it's not easy!

Be kinder than necessary
Because everyone you meet is fighting
Some kind of battle."

Dagens sitat;   Todays quote;

“Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!”
