Home         Back         Next Η Τράτα - "Ee Trata" - "I Trata" Tratan er en gammel karneval tradisjon på Skopelos. Øen var jo en stor sjøfartsnasjon. Trata er en båt som den du vil se på vidakien, bygget av bambus kvister og mye mer, - der er en båt som aldri vil flyte. Han som leder Trataen, denne gangen herlige Xristos i rødt, er sjefen, og de andre gutta må adlyde ham og repetere  hva han synger. Kvinner i landsbyen serverer "ris-o-gala" - rispudding - og diverse drikkevarer, mens de ler mer og ofte tar en dans.   "Ee Trata" is an old carnival tradition on Skopelos. The island was a big seafarer nation. Trata is a boat as you will see on my vidaki, built of bamboo and more, - a boat that never will float. The one leading the Trata is the boss, this time the funny Xristos in red. The other boys has to obey him and repeat what he is singing.
